Doctors working out of Health First Medical Group, are dedicated to providing the highest level of service to their patients. 10 minute and 15-minute appointments are offered as standard, however if you would like more time with your doctor, or need to discuss several issues with them, including WorkCover and TAC, please let reception staff know, and we can book a longer appointment for you.

Cancellations and Non Attendance

Adequate notice is required if you can no longer attend your consultation (at least 2 hours before your appointment time).

Failure to attend with no notice or cancellation within 2 hours of your appointment time will result in a non-attendance fee of $50 (for a standard consultation) or $160 (if you are a new patient).

Billing Information

Payment in full is required on the day of your consultation and can be paid via cash, cheque or EFTPOS.

Medicare services are submitted online, and rebates are reimbursed immediately via TYRO or within 48 hours to your bank account registered with Medicare.

All Doctors working out of Health First Medical Group operate independently and bill at their own discretion.  Please see each Doctors profile for individual fee schedules.

Medical Certificates

All medical certificates must be obtained during your appointment. Medical certificates cannot be completed without a consultation with your Doctor.  Medical certificates must be obtained during your appointment, either in Clinic or via Telehealth.


Clinical Labs have an onsite collection centre on Monday to Friday from 8:30 – 4:30pm.


Patients are encouraged to request all their prescriptions during their consultation. Some Bulk Billing Telehealth prescription appointments are available each day, where the Doctor will call you and send you your script electronically. Telephone requests for repeat prescriptions will incur a fee.  Please check the individual Doctors page for these fees.

Privacy Policy

All patient information is stored securely according to the Privacy Act. Patient information will only be released with your expressed written consent. A copy of the Privacy Policy is available at reception or you can read it online here

From time to time this practice participates in non-identifying research projects, if you do not wish that the practice uses any of your information, please discuss this with your Doctor.

Test Results

After reviewing your test results, you will receive an SMS with instruction from your Doctor. Patients with no mobile will be contacted if further action is needed.

If your result indicates something is urgent or is required to be discussed promptly, you will be contacted by SMS and reception with further instructions.

Results will not be given out to a 3rd party for privacy reasons. 

Most results require at least 48hrs to be returned.

Note:  We believe patients have a responsibility for ensuring they carry out any tests requested by their GP and following up on the results of any tests performed.
