Iron Infusions

An Iron Infusion is a procedure that can be given to help increase low iron levels in patients.  A consultation and subsequent pathology tests with your doctor will determine if your symptoms could be caused by low iron.  If an Iron Infusion is recommended your doctor will explain the procedure and possible risks associated.

Iron is given intravenously into a vein over 15 minutes in the Practice. You will be monitored by a Nurse while having the infusion and for 30 minutes after it has finished.

Please allow 1 hour for this procedure.

All iron infusions incur an out-of-pocket fee of $150.00 plus a private consultation fee.
